My Exercise Plan


Well now that things have calmed down a bit, I can get to doing some exercising! Not that I didn't burn quite a few calories when I was moving, though. On the main day we moved stuff with the Uhaul my BodyMedia Fit arm band recorded 4137 Calories total that day! But even with moving my activity level's been hit and miss.





The Plan


My basic plan to start with is doing at least 1 hour of intense exercise with a cardio and/or strength training DVD (making sure to not strength train the same muscles 2 days in a row). With DVDs that have 30 minute workouts I'll probably follow it with a short cardio DVD such as Hip Hop dancing or a cardio boot camp.

With that, my goal every day (even on rest days) with the help of my arm band, is to walk 10,000 steps. I've been averaging about 4000 a day doing normal activity, sometimes reaching 5,000-7,000 while moving.

I'm doing this as opposed to joining some "plan" because I've done so many "plans" that each have gone down like Lindsay Lohan trying to stay sober.

I'm kind of excited to see what my calorie output is going to look like with all the exercising, and my goal is to lose at least 10 lbs over the next 4 weeks.

  1. You should start the weight loss from light exercising such as morning walk, jogging, sits ups, then you should do some more cardio exercises such as running, swimming, cycling for burning the fat more quickly and losing you weight.
    You should also take diet foods containing more fresh fruit and vegetables for weight loss.

  2. Good luck with the exercising. It's always difficult to start, but once you get into a routine, I found it becomes even more difficult to stop. I was severely obese (300lbs!), and I radically changed my diet, met up with a NYC personal trainer, and started therapy. My life changed completely, and I can't stress how good it felt to lose 135lbs. I wish you the best. I know your goal is far less than mine was, but it's still important.

    I am a personal trainer in Alexandria Virginia and Georgetown Washington DC. Most of my clients have a hard time keeping up with a planed out exercise and diet plan.
